Overview of the Self-developed Pitch Drive
Fully self-developed hardware and vector-control algorithm;
Integrated design combining PLC, charger, and switching power supply. It can seamlessly replace KEB and Inovance drives;
Platform-based design with 30 kW, 37 kW, and 45 kW power ratings, covering pitch-control needs for offshore wind turbines above 15 MW;
C-language development platform and wind-power-specific libraries, enabling secondary development by customers;
Certified by TUV, GL, and other standards, and compliant with ISO 13849 safety requirements;
Supports onshore and offshore applications, new turbines, and retrofit projects.
Third-party tests: EMC, high temperature, low temperature, vibration, dust, and spray testing.
Overview of Pitch Retrofit Solutions for Aging Turbines
1. DC-to-AC Pitch System Retrofit
Replaces traditional DC pitch motors with AC permanent-magnet synchronous motors to improve response speed. After dynamic-response threshold optimization, voltage-step tolerance is increased by 40%.
Uses an integrated AC drive to replace separated original components such as controllers, I/O modules, and chargers, simplifying the circuit structure and greatly reducing pitch-system fault rates.
2. Backup Power Upgrade
Replaces lead-acid batteries with supercapacitors, solving difficult low-temperature discharge and short high-temperature life issues. Service life is extended to more than 10 years, maintenance frequency is reduced by 60%, and backup-power health monitoring is added for real-time early warning of potential risks, greatly improving turbine safety.
Solution Configuration:
Drive solution: integrated AC drive + permanent-magnet synchronous motor
Performance features: 22 kW drive + 6-13 kW motor, with large power redundancy
Cabinet reuse: the original pitch cabinet can be reused, with no need to remove the hub fairing
Maintenance-free motor: IP65, 24 V low-voltage brake, resolver, maintenance-free motor
Strong environmental adaptability: -40°C to 65°C, humidity 0-95%
